Omg.that tomato is really hegante! What do use the tomatillo for?

My dad planted one of these, I don't even know why, I think he go a bonus seed packet or something, let me tell you one is enough to get you going. After the first plant got established in a relatively shallow garden bed it would drop seeds everywhere on the surround soil from wind and rain. Pollinators love it. And now there are a bunch of baby seedling that I can plant somewhere else, give away. It drops so many seeds that I have to thin them out of the bed to keep them all growing easy. My dad has like 5 or 6 medium sized plants he potted up. Lol one, or one patch is good. Will seed everywhere within 6-8 feet

It’s so lovely in the garden. I start as early 6 am and usually done around 2 or 4 pm. Just depending on what I need done. I wouldn’t change it. It’s my leave. 🥰🏡🪴

Does anybody know if 'Mammoth' is a distinct strain to the Colocasia esculenta of the grocery shops? Having seen how some plants can develop marketing names - like 'tropicana' bananas and 'tropicanna' cannas, it's unclear if 'Mammoth' is an example of that or a genuinely distinct plant in its own right.

My tomatoes are barely coloring in the Pacific Northwest! Do you normally get tomatoes this early or is it the heatwave? Curious!

Have you considered installing landscape fabric underneath your brick pathway? This would eliminate having to deal with weeds popping through, which I can confirm is annoying. We deal with the same thing in our yard.

Lol, this is the new modern silent films😅 I still can’t believe you don’t have many mosquitoes-so lucky! There is no way I can go out without full coverage including head net. 😩 I weeded and watered yesterday then it poured 🙄. I have so much to do, but can’t do much with all the layers on and heat/humidity. We have a cooler day coming up and will tweak the irrigation as there are some not working so well so it was drag the hose around day. I have a volunteer sugar baby watermelon and seen a couple-had to clear out many volunteer everything as they were crowding paths and veg. Nice harvest!

Incredible harvest sunsugar plants look almost like sculpture

This is the first I've heard of sun sugar tomatoes. I grow sun gold and they definitely crack if I don't harvest fast.

Hello Gorgeous! Your gardens are looking absolutely fabulous! I love the structure of your cherry tomatoes! Do you find that when you trim the leaves off does it attract pests,or not? This is the first year that I have started a vegetable garden with squash, pole beans, zucchini and tomatoes in years. Because of our mild winter it was such a strong struggle with bugs. I was diligent and caught every squash bug and got all the eggs off the leaves! I had a very small harvest of zucchini and yellow squash. We had over six weeks of over 90° temperatures. This week is the first week that we have had 80° temperatures. I have tomatoes all over my tomato plants that have not ripened yet! I am hoping that the cooler weather will help then ripen, so I can enjoy my tomatoes! I am in SC,zone 8. I just caught 2 rhino horned worms yesterday and Captured them immediately, no damage! Do you have any pointers to help my Garden flourish next year?
